Presidential similarities aside, sharing the stage in the dystopian comedy are two climate refugees from Ireland—a lace curtain judge with literary ambitions and a soft-hearted shanty cop, both serving as a bridge between the impoverished majority of climate refugees and the elite of the Ruga Zono.
In the well-told tale, separated lovers Mary and Danny wind through the social media politics to bring a story that may not have the facts of truth, but it holds the truth of the heart.

This is my favorite story from Tim Mahoney. His characters' sharply written personalities brought their "crazy" world to life. I loved it.
Well-done post apocalyptic novel, very plausible scenario, well written. Every day looks more and more like we on the path to the future envisioned in Reverse Lightening. Kept me interested from start to finish.
This novel is seeming more and more prescient as we get pummeled by hurricane after hurricane. Lots of people may have seen it coming, but only Mahoney could showed it too us with such verve and hilarity.
The quirky characters and the madness of their circumstances are wildly entertaining while serving as a serious reminder of how much we take for granted in a functioning society...even one as dysfunctional as our own.
